Get answers to common questions about Legs (Lower).
Most clients enjoy smooth legs for three to six weeks, depending on hair growth, hormones, and exfoliation routine. Regular waxing can slow regrowth and soften hairs, extending time between appointments for longer-lasting results.
No—waxing removes hair from the root, which does not change its thickness or color. Over time hairs may appear finer and sparser because waxing weakens the follicle. Individual hormones can affect regrowth, but waxing generally results in softer, less noticeable hair over time.
Clean, dry skin with hair at least quarter-inch long; exfoliate gently 24-48 hours before appointment. Avoid heavy lotions or oils on the day of waxing. If you’re on retinoids or have sunburn, inform your esthetician to adjust or reschedule for safety.
Some stinging or brief discomfort is normal, especially on sensitive areas. Our estheticians use skin-supporting techniques, high-quality wax, and soothing pre/post-care to minimize pain. Breathing, light pressure, and quick removal help. Topical numbing can be used if you request and meet safety guidelines.
We recommend scheduling sessions every three to six weeks depending on your personal hair growth cycle. Consistent waxing can lengthen intervals over time. Your esthetician will advise an ideal schedule during consultation based on growth rate, skin sensitivity, and desired smoothness.
Avoid hot baths, saunas, and intense workouts for 24 hours to prevent irritation. Keep the area clean and moisturized with fragrance-free lotions, exfoliate gently after 48-72 hours to prevent ingrown hairs, and use SPF when exposing skin to sun.
